I found a pair of 1978 Peavey speakers (8 ohms, 100W, and maybe 15" magnets) that have been hidden away for years and years. They appear to be in good working condition and I think I could get them fairly cheaply. However, I know nothing whatsoever about them. Does anyone know how much they are worth or even if they are worth the trouble? Thank you much.

Peavey arent a bad brand at all... certainly not the best though. Unfortunately, unless they are looked after, speakers will not age like fine wine. Also, check what sort of leads they're using if they're that old, and check if they'll be compatible with what you'll be using them with. Generally, I'd pay around $100+/- for 15"ers.
