I have a SB live with creative 5.1 surround speakers plugged into the same power strip I have a room fan plugged in. When I adjust the speed on the room fan there is a loud click from my speakers even when the pc is off. Just wondering if this is normal or what.

Yep, it's a small surge that the speakers detect and put out that "click" sound. If you can, get the fan off that strip to avoid those "clicks".

Yeap,its normal. I had the same excact problem but in my case the fan was in the other side of the room
