My friend was asking me if I knew about any type of car mp3 player, that allows you to store the mp3s on the player in some way. Memory sticks, possibly a hard drive. I dont know. Maybe just a way to plug in your iPod straight to the stereo. I probably sound very ignorant with how I am wording this but I don't really know anything about car systems, and things like that in general. Any help would be nice, thanks.

There is indeed a wide variety of devices available for such things.
I somewhat work with these devices. Of course I also spend time browsing them (although not as much as I'd like to). there are different types of hard drives (in addition to memory sticks) that you can stick in cars. They make hard drives that fit in enclosures that act like normal head units, plus types that can be hooked up other ways. One in particular is Neo's Car Jukebox: http://www.ssiamerica.com/products/neo35/index.shtml It hooks up USB to a computer. It comes in 20, 40, 80, and 120 GB versions. I am mentioning this one because it is the most recent type I bought. |
